INVASIVE SPECIES IN OREGONA species is considered "invasive" if it is both alien to the local ecosystem and likely to cause harm to the environment, humans or the local economy. For example, aquatic invasive species threaten the diversity or abundance of native species, the ecological stability of infested waters, or the activities (recreation, commercial fishing, etc.) dependent on those waters.
